Hello Everyone,
I wanted to make everyone aware that in my opinion as well as a few discussions with others I've contacted, the consensus is that there is a bogus HJ Drummer on American eBay.
The HJ Drummer is an actual piece of Allach Porcelain but it is post war painted. Without going into detail, the paint scheme is wrong and well as the paint appearing to be on top of the glaze. You'll notice the lower half of the base being shiny while all the painted features have a dull look to it. There are a few figures of Allach Porcelain that have certain parts to it that have the paint above the glaze or a mixture of paint /glaze applied but not the HJ Drummer.
I've twice contacted the seller on eBay suggesting that he remove the item but with the figure reaching the $6500.00 level with over three days left, I doubt that he does.
