            Hi,

i strongly advise you to use the "search" function, dozen (!) of topics exist about SS helmet cover.

            Amongst the real ones :

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=780665

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=750370

Most of the topics on the WAF are showing fake ones.

The Guild is currently selling one SS helmet.

            See You

Fully agree! For the one who knows what he is doing, and has the right stuff, it´s not very difficult to make these covers today. Most you see are fakes, IMO. Same goes for camo caps.

I strongly advise that you take some time to consider buying a cover now. Perfect or near perfect fakes are out there and they are affecting the values and desireability of them.
Some collectors will no longer touch them unless they come with rock solid provenance, and like virtually every thing else in this hobby, cannot or will not pay the absurdly high prices often seen in the recent past.
If and when you do make a purchase, be aware that you will probably not be able to get the same price you paid for it should you decide to sell it in the future.
                    Take Ian's advice seriously!

Original, unissued late war 2nd pattern Oakleaf cover. It is part of a now famous helmet cover hoard Horsetrainer located.

A great example if you're looking for an unissued textbook cover.

                        Hope this helps,

                        Asper
