I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the identification of this badge and its authenticity. Its wingspan measures about 2 1/2 inches. Thanks.

SS Italian visor cap eagle,sew on type I think. -
The prongs are just missing and some one drilled holes in the wings.
This forum was just brought back up. You should look through it and compare. Awesome thread! I just bought the SS Italian sleeve eagle in red!

100% original Italian SS visor cap skull. The 2 original prongs were located near the bottom of the wings and slightly inboard of the drilled holes. You can see where they were soldered on.
