    Original OAK Hosen

Until some better explanation comes along, I am going with Pauls POV that these are original SS material ,post war French made for the Indochina conflict. They are very obviously not a recently made reproduction and are a manufactured item, i.e... not a closet industry tailor in some basement.

They could also be some 80s reenactor piece, which is IMHO more likely.

Then why the size label and paper tag, and why not lined and pockets like WWII German trousers? Why all of the extra work done on them and never worn?
The tags are what throw me off more than anything . Thanks for your input

So here are some close ups of the size tag and remnant of the paper tag.

Here is a detail of the rear side pocket. So has anyone ever seen anything like that on WWII German Hosen? I haven't , so this is another reason I do not think they were ever intended to be any reproduction item. You can see they tried hard to match the pattern with the pocket . The horizontal cross tack bar of sewing at the top of the stitch line on it , would indicate it was meant for use and not just display. The lower pocket edge being sewn on angle is also a sign of extra work put into them.
I still think their best bet is the French idea.
