      SS Smock Oak A Pattern

Here are a couple of photos taken in sunlight (a rare commodity in these parts, this time of year). I got lucky...

Hmm, upon further examination, it appears to just be a panther-store smock...not even a fake. Still, pretty good in terms if a reproduction.

          SS Smock Oak A Pattern

A few more photos showing single needle stitching, stitching over wrist elastic, buttonhole details. The last photo shows that a previous owner went around the buttonholes by hand to reinforce them, which is maybe why they look wrong (too puffy, too much thread, etc.).

It looks like it could have been made by SMW. I don't know who else makes them this close to the real thing. I should ask Steve if he ever used Plane Tree material for the lower sleeves (I know they are selling ones with Italian cloth sleeves now).

              1. Already stated, its a panther-store piece (99.9% certain)
              2. Sleeves aren't planetree. Theyre blurred edge. Not SMW either. PRetty sure theyre gavin.

So, this is basically a panther oak with gavin blurred sleeves.

I agree, it's from the Panther Store. The print pattern is an exact match, the placement of the pattern differs, but it is no doubt one of theirs.

                Good spotting!
