Regarding the specific WSS pattern greatcoat, not the wachtmantel or surcoat ---
It is well known that the late pattern Waffen-SS overcoat eliminated the "French" cuffs and the pleat at the back, but to my understanding the rear belt was also eliminated as well. Again, this is not pertaining to the fully lined wachtmantel .... my query is solely in relation to the greatcoat which would have the partial lining. Can anyone please confirm this?
Also, can anyone post reverse photos of a late pattern WSS greatcoat? Or possibly period photos which might clearly show this detail? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated/
