SS Stickpin - what is it and is it real?

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the authenticity and identification of this stickpin. The knurled pin itself appears to be nickel, while the circular badge is copper with a darkening agent on the background. Thanks.

It's a fake SS 4 year service award in 16mm stickpin form. These are all over 'militaria 321' and can be found made from various types of metal. Real 16 mm minis are extremley hard to find and unlike the posted example, have really nice oakleaves just like the full size awards.
