      Dear John,

A small question: is the quality of the runes (in the middle) not too sloppy?

      Just my 2 cents.

      Best regards,

      Rene

Nothing wrong here, the runes are perfectly fine. Good pair

I like the runic tab ... but whats gone on there ?
Has the bullion come loose ?
            Regards

I cant see anything overtly wrong either. The poorly done runes are often a better indication of originality in many cases. Many repros have better execution of the bullion embroidery.

Probably just that theyre old and didn't stay so tight.

True as well, although if one looks closely, they are not well done, particularly on the bottom edge of the turn of the runes.
So many collectors think that original embroidery was always tight and flawless, but that idea does not hold up. Some were and some were not.

I cannot disagree nothing hand embroidered is too perfect all the time.
