Question about collar pips

Hello here,

Could anyone please tell me if the pips for the SS collar tabs are the same that the pips on standard shoulder boards? If not, what is the difference?

Pips

Your basic-sized pip was usually used on both shoulderboards and collar tabs. But various sizes were used and though the design of the pips was basic, the pips often vary from company to company. The SA used basically the same pips as the SS, but in both silver and gold color. The prongs can be a helpful factor in determining originality as well. Pips DO tend to vary many times.

I might add that the pips used on collar tabs were usually smaller than those used on shoulder boards. As mentioned, there are many small variations in the basic design.
