matched LAH Officer's shoulder board cyphers

    Hello all,

To me, these do not appear to be of the drilled variety. These appear to be cupal. Are there authentic examples with all of the areas cut out like these?

        Compare and decide for yourself.

All cyphers shown are bad IMO.

well I see yours is filled in on the left there, so that goes back to my question. Are there authentic examples with all of the areas cut out?

That is a valid question. The "big" collectors believe there is only one original type, like the one I showed. Who am I to argue with them?

Are the areas that I have circled here casting flaws?

Just posted a nice repro cypher for training purposes or decoration on the EStand:

nice cypher you posted Tom, below is the same type NCO(found on the net)

talking about "big" collectors and "there is only one original type" below is an NCO cypher from B.Hritz collection and an officers cypher from an old european collection, they are identical to each other but different type from yours

another type (third) ex Bill Shea

one more type (forth) ground-dug and published in a highly-praised Russian book

The fourth one from the highly praised Russian book and supposedly 'ground-dug' is definitely fake. I got this type for sale on the Estand right now (as a repro/fake). Stephen Wolfe gave it to me last summer at his home (as an example for a fake).

                          Cheers,
                          Markus

Sure...nothing's for free and I guess somewhere down the line I kinda paid for it anyway...
