Question about SS Camo helmet Covers

I was wondering if anybody knows if all SS camo covers had clips? Did any have a drawstring?

That's a big "NEGATORY" good buddy!
(unless you refer to the POSSIBILITY of a "field made" piece....

I have one that I believe is real and could even be a factory made piece. I was looking through some books and do see most of them have clips. I did see one dot pattern with loops in a period photo.

I'll try to get some pics of it today and I'll start a new thread for it.

Ok, thanks. BTW I once had (20+ years ago) an original cover with string, reversible autum oakleaf to white. Was found with a matching parka.

All factory produced SS covers had clips, heer had string. Field made; anything goes, but field made ss covers are very very rare. Anything SS non- textbook is and should be viewed with skepticism unless it comes with solid provenance.

                Cheers,

                Asper
