SS Bevo Tabs Question

I was just wandering if the white mesh backing or card board backing on these are more desirable, or are they about the same?

The same. The most wanted are the tabs with patina and used

I don't think either material is more desirable than the other.But i'm sure i heard at some point that card was used late war because of shortages in materials.

That makes sense. I have one of each and I can't decide which I like more. I like the idea of the mesh, but the cardboard one makes it hold a perfect shape.

The card ones do tent to be stiffer. if your collecting runic tabs,it is good that you have a example of both types

And then there are those with the Buckram backing/stiffener. But I like 'em with any kind of back, as long as they're "Salty"!

What do you guys think of them? I honestly like the bevo ones more than most of the other types, even though they are cheaper. I just need a rank tab to make a set.

I think off the shelf, unused insignia are very boring and they don't really become 'SS' until they are worn ... only my opinion obviously, others are available ... however wrong they may be

I have owned both mint and used.I'm with Ian on prefering used tabs.
