They (the E-Boot versions) were worn by Panzer troops and I have several original photos showing them in use in the war. One pic even has two men in the same photo wearing them, both officers of course.

I realize that I have posted this comment a lot, but I have never been able to find ANY connection to this type of set (OR ANY OTHER similar one) to the NSKK. I would love to see one, but highly doubt if any exist. Another collecting old wives tale. I also have never seen a single example of this type in brown leather. I have seen a dozen or so very different than these brown double breasted exposed button, different cut...probably French motorcycle type jackets claimed as LW.

KM intent with these may have been E Boat, but also may have been midget sub small battle unit use or may have been both. We certainly have a number of photos and even an excellent film clip of those Midget Sub pilots wearing these exact sets with FJ helmets. There is also no denying the PZ connection as some photos are known as the ones you pointed out above from HG.

There is a lot that I do not know about these, but someone is going have to support NSKK use (much less a claim that it was the intended service to receive these) with some kind of evidence and to this point in time not one thing has been offered that I have seen. How many NSKK personnel were there by 43-43 when these FIRST came out? I don't know, but I would assume that most of what few members were still around from the early 30s would have been in their 40s and 50s with everyone else in the Wehrmacht....long since.

      Hi guys,

Thank you so much for all the information and help- I will post some detailed pictures of the eagle tomorrow. I do not believe there was an eagle placed on the jacket before this one. It is frustrating as the other jacket was sold, having it in hand could have helped authenticate this one much easier. The soldier who wore these likely never had to wear the pants frequently but wore the jacket.

As promised, here are additional pictures of the SS eagle for review. The arms of the jacket are quite long and I couldn't see the interior, the eagle seems to be stitched on quite well has very little of the reverse showing.

        Any comments welcome!

As others have stated, a possible combination but I also have never seen and of these with insignia until the last 30 years or so. The shoulderboards look like replicas to me.

Hi Robert E, thank you for the info- what do you think of the eagle? I have had a few comments liking it but I would like to confirm somehow (if possible) that it is an original.
