Giant 56 item lot SS and Hitler Youth Armbands, patches, insignia documents HELP!

Hi all,

Picked this collection up and was meaning to put it up to see what you all thought. There are quite a few badges and patches I have never seen before, and any help would be greatly appreciated identifying them. I think the black circular insignias are of SS origin, and I am not sure on the collar tabs (there is a black unmarked one?). Some of the badges have the RZM patch and others do not. Of interest is the white armband with a red rune stitched on it- would this be some sort of ceremonial Hitler Youth armband? I have a few reference books but many of these items were not in them, and there may be some that are both SS and HJ.

There is also a small collection of Hitler Youth documents, papers, a paybook and other interesting items. Not pictured are about 10 Hitler Youth oriented postcards. The paybook has a photo of the HJ boy in uniform.

If anyone could help me identify some of these items or give information I would be very Grateful! Additional photos can also be provided

Armband with the life rune is for HJ medics. I have heard they were used by SA too but can't confirm that. Introduced in 1939 and RZM made. This one however I am skeptical of. I have seen another of the exact same construction. So to see 2 different non RZM ones of the same construction would be a red flag IMO. Plus it having the tag in it also seems to be an issue being that it isn't RZM. I would wait for someone though who has more knowledge on them though to comment. The Sigrune set is great. Also like the straps, all of them. The yellow and red ribbon is especially nice and difficult to find. Swallows nests are textbook, as well as the rank patches. I don't like the "round headed" eagles, the purple coloring or the construction on a couple of the fire defense patches though.

I suspect there may be some fakes mixed in the group - construction of some appear sloppy.

The FeuerschutzPolizei eagles appear to be rayon ? The SS speciality patches look original.

Hi guys,

Thank you all for the helpful comments, I was sure most of the items were original but wanted to check if any fakes were mixed in. I will post new pictures soon! I was wondering what the medic HJ armband was as I had never seen a photo of one in wear.

My take: The Dachau SS insignia are of course fine. The SS tabs not...
Most if the HJ material is fine, some of the fire related HJ diamonds probably not. The documents / paper lot is fine.
I suggest since the majority is not SS related to repost all the HJ material in that section. Nice score for the most part

I would have to seriously question the blank SS tab and the SS former SA member diamond. The SS farrier diamond looks a little off too.

what did the previous owner say about where the collection was found , was it all veteran found , or is there a story you haven't mentioned...?
