In my quest to find items related to the 4th SS Division, I came across this photo. Is this cap one that would have been worn by a member of the 4th SS Polizei in its EARLY stages say 1939-1942ish?

Bill Shea has had this cap on his site for years. If the insignia was not restored I would have bought it long ago.

Nice one, and (hence the price) also for sale for ages. The first one is also an officers but the piping has turned very dark, almost impossible to see.

Erik....what do you mean by insignia being restored? Is it a "put together"? If this is what you mean, how can you tell?
