    Zimmerman 499/41 Skull

I have just purchased this Zimmerman 499/41 skull
    with missing prongs
To me it looks like a good original cupal example - if other members could please state their opinion on this skull

    Thank you

The reason it looks this way is because it is made of two different metals.
The front is aluminum and the back is copper.

Ahw damn. You're the Lucky one that bought him. I was thinking of buying him aswell on ebay. Congrats with this nice skull.
Looks like he's slightly scraped of on his tooth.

The front isn't aluminium... It's a CupAl because it's an alloy of Cupper and Aluminium. Then it's front has a silverfinish. Beneeth that finish it has the same color as the backside.

Wrong, wrong, and wrong. Three strikes, you're out.

CupAl is not an alloy of copper and aluminum; it is layers of the two different metals compressed together (usually aluminum between two layers of copper, but, in this case, just one layer of each).

The front of this skull has no silver finish

The silver color is the bare aluminum layer (aluminum front, copper back).
