Goring book possibly from SS Obergruppenfuhrer Fritz Weitzel library?

Bought a bunch of books and as I was going through them noticed that the Hermann Goring book had a stamp from the owner. Any thoughts as to if this belonged to "the" Fritz Weitzel SS Obergruppenführer. Thanks for your time.

From the time of his appointment as Police President of Dusseldorf in 1933, SS OGF Weitzel resided in that same city, not Hamm.

Thanks for the reply, I wonder where he was prior to Düsseldorf, I know Hamm is not very far, just over 100 km. thanks again.

It's a common enough name. The Volksbund site lists a couple of soldiers besides the Obergruppenführer with that name who were killed in WWI and WWII. No doubt there were others who survived.

Hard to picture a guy in 1941 using a stamp showing an address where he had not lived for at least 8 years? Book must post-date 1941 as there is an ad for a 1941 edition book on the back cover. For me, this is a conclusive "no."

Good eye, the 1941 advertising pretty much says it all! He wouldn't be stamping any books. Thanks,
