I got one of these leather jackets in 2013 from a man who served on Sepp Dietrich's staff. It has a stand up collar and field grey buttons. No provisions for shoulderstraps, nor badges. (personal preference). Said jacket he wore since the Winter of 1943/44.
He kindly inscribed it for me on the inside of the jacket with a silver Sharpie.
They might not be fancy for display, but were a favorite amongst the men who were able to get their hands on one. A great protector against cold wind and rain.
