          Hello gents,
this piece is just on the way to my collection. I studied these parkas and IMO this piece is original without any red flags. I especially like that there are still original buttons, which is not so common on these pieces.

          Thank you for your comments.

I would like to have seen a different lining on the arms. Some second opinions on that welcome.

I too am looking to buy one of these. I have been studying any that I see. I can't quite put my finger on it, but this one looks a bit strange. The arm sleeve lining especially, do you have any close ups of that?

I'm not ruling it out, it's not a repro that's for sure and I would go with ww2! One thing I have noticed is that not much appears to be "standard" with these italian parkas great pieces, and congrats on getting one

Another thing I have noticed on a few is the black threaded button holes, this one has it as well. I cannot say if that's good or bad though.... a few have that, most I've seen didn't

I think it is save to say to go for it. Perhaps you can find a size marking on the inside (back) behind the fur lining or on the windflap. The lining on the inside of the arms looks like the correct grey fishgrate lining only the pictures don't do justice.

                    Good luck

                    Regards

Jacket looks fine...I know about the sleeve linings. but I dont think late 44 there was much standard about such things...they lined the sleeves with all manner of scrap material..they don't stop production because they run out of italian hbt material, or this or that, they improvise and continue, making this stuff was just a business..

Do you have foto of arm and drawing string? Also, could I ask how much you pay it?

                        Thank you

Thank you for your comments, highly appreciated. I can upload more pictures in next few days. Anyway I was searching for more examples on a web and didn' t find any repro which is at least similar to this piece. Another good sign to me is that cloth in a pockets has more intense colours than parka exterior.

Regarding the lining...I just had a call with my friend and more experienced "camo" collector and he told me he allready had about 5 pieces in his collection and only 2 of them had the same lining, the rest had -as Scott said - "all manner of scrap material". So I think the lining cannot kill this piece in any way.
