    I am trying to identify collar tab worn by Waffen SS soldier

    Anyone know what the rank collar tab represents? I can't make it out. Looks like the Party Eagle to my eyes. Thanks!

    shoulder boards would suggest Untersturmfuhrer

      I think its part of his overcoat covering his rank.

        agree, looks like a cloth button tab.

          It is a little piece of cloth that covers the collar hooks when the neck is closed.
