I like the look of the eagle ... Is it a flatwire ?
The tabs look as if they have the same buckram backing as the jolly roger TK tabs.
Therefore they could be a late war issue ???

Thanks. It's flatwire, just my lack of photography skills.

Can't say anything about the backing. The eagle came off a roll of about a dozen of them and the curator gave all of these to me as they were excess.

I know people hate to give values on the forum, but I'm planning to sell the officer tabs at the SoS and have no clue what they are worth. I searched militaria sites but I can't find anything comparable as the few rank tabs I could find were paired with runic tabs. I'd appreciate if someone could PM me a decent price range so I know what to ask for them.

Or, instead of asking for a price range, maybe I should say that my gut feeling is that the tabs are worth $250 - 300 each. Am I in the ballpark or what?
