Shiny braid, and shape of button-hole makes me think of "dress-uniform" - where a screw-down button may have been used.

I've always liked the cord type farbe . . . had many epaulettes with it, and can't recall anyone ever mentioning reproductions out there utilizing the same type of material. Of course, with forgeries being made all the better as time progresses, who really knows, nowadays?

I doubt you're going to get much else in the way of opinions . . . JP pretty much summed it up - and not much else to say.

I don't do SS much anymore . . . but if it helps, here is a old photo of an [authentic] board I once had in my collection - it used the same pattern of material for farbe.

"If you want, I can also provide some" . . . "very professionally" . . . Really? Then by all means, Champ - don't be shy . . . You go right ahead and do so. That would be better than sitting it out on the sidelines, and complaining - don't you agree?

the boards are 100% original and are spoken here bad !! because of the color. your are faded worn tark us - it is clear that deviates the color ..
it is well to understand that I'm angry.

                          Hello Steven
Most of the comments here imply that they are original.
Look like good boards to me also

                            Cord-Type Farbe

Steven and WAF members, since I'm not an expert, I don't think I can say positively yes or no, whether the boards that started this thread are original or not. However, I'd like to address a point brought up by N.C. Wyeth about the corded type of Waffenfarbe piping. This type of piping, is, in fact being reproduced, as I own a set that is sewn into the shoulders of a complete reproduction Officer's Field Blouse. Now, I'm not saying that the type I will show is as nice or convincingly original as on the panzer boards, but I simply show for the greater good and for members' awareness. Furthermore, I have a yellow piped EM set of boards (also reproduction) that also uses this type of corded piping. Lastly, I've not seen the "shiny" type of silver braid used on many boards outside of the luftwaffe, but I'm sure suppliers/tailors used what they could get ahold of. I'd also speculate that the preference of the Soldier also came into play. That being said, I'll also show a set of pink piped sew-in type boards that also uses the shiny silver braid on top, and to be honest, I don't know if that set is original WSS or not. I May take better pics and post that set in another thread. All pics were taken pretty hastily just a little while ago.
