Not being an expert on straps the question I would have to ask is how did the cords get so worn around the edges and yet the waffenfarbe piping remain pristine ?

Personally I could 'entertain a doubt' based on that observation.

Different material and the cords are more fragile than the synthetic piping,simply ?

Nice looking boards! They seem to be in a shorter size? The fakers have that piping down pretty good though, as I have a repro set with that exact type of piping, just a word of warning to all. With this pair, the total package tells the story IMO.
