SS m43 panzer cap for review

I bought it because it has a COA from Kelly Hicks.
What's your opinion on this cap?

Not a Dachau cap Phil.

The trapezoid is original .... you need an expert on M43s to comment on the cap itself.

Not Dachau but a very nice cap by another maker, I like them.

Have a look at this thread, post numbers 343 to 347 and you will see an example almost identical to yours that I have handled

Pretty much identical to one of mine except your example is mint and my cap is so much used that it is falling apart

As I have stated I believe the SS panzer M43 that started this thread is original and made before May 1945. I have more than one reason for saying this including recently finding out their RB number. This has narrowed down for me, what part of the Third Reich they were made in but I have not yet found the exact makers name.

Some reading this may say but there is no RB number in the cap. It would appear that the caps made for the SS were not stamped with an RB number. However the caps made for the WH were. The interesting thing is that a WH cap by this maker is a very rare find indeed. Now you would think if they were fakes then the WH examples would be all over the place. But they are not ???

I can say more but not at this stage, except to sum up. This is a maker who made M43's for the SS & WH. More SS examples seem to have survived than WH.

Equally I have respect for the opinion of those collectors who oppose my view. Thus if I am so far off the mark then please tell me more about why some think they are fake. To date no one has come forward with any evidence of why, when, how they are bad,

I would say,... be carefull aswell when you buy something with a COA!
Even a COA can be faked!!!

Not judging on the cap here tough.
