about the trousers: I wouldn't buy them, the material on one of the beltstraps and the adjustment straps looks like the fabrik and pattern used in some known fakes from the late 80's early 90's! the items made from this material fooled a lot of collectors including me, until the faker tried his luck on a panzerjacke and trousers, and got the pattern all wrong! there exist to my knowledge a 44 jacke and pants + the before mentioned panzer set in wrong pattern! in the book"waffen ss uniforms in colour photographs"by andrew steven & peter amodio! there is pic's of one of those panzer sets! they are typically made up of 2 or 3 different patterns of cloth! some of it might be period fabrik, but the items are for sure post war!

as for the cover, I don't know enough about these to make any judgement, but others will surely chime in on it!

        best regards!

panzermeyer why do you believe they are fake? I think here are pretty much the same trousers sold as original http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Waffe...s/S028864.html

Hi, yes I also noticed that the coin pocket and spending it presents the same hue difference.
Panzermeyer you see a difference on the pants for sale on germanmilitaria,
if other people have opinion, I' will be happy to hear

I wouldn't buy the trousers from collectors guild either ! I know for sure that he is an honest dealer , but even he can be wrong, and I was actually offered an identically set some ten years ago or so, an didn't buy it for the same reason!
but isn't it very doubtfull that there is a generally considered fake piece of cloth as part of an surposedly original garment!

just my thougts, and its not my Money!

and you are absolutely right, all garments partially or entirely made of this "pinky" hbt material are 100% fake, one should have no illusions about By the way the cover shown is fake too

The interior finishing material and RB is a dead give away, I've owned an exact pair, but made ith original dot. Have to hold in person, IMO the dot fabric could be good, I'm not seeing the pinks, but these are postwar construction.
