There is an excellent book called "Counterfeiting the Holocaust" about the scores of fake & fantasy items that exist and the comparision to the known real examples. I would suggest looking into this book if this is an area of collecting you are interested in.

Collecting holocaust items and or KZ items .......well, good luck. I mean they fake everything. Only pieces I have a temporary camp guard SS tab and one of the original Polish Auschwitz survivor medals. Note, both of those are heavily faked as well.
