I've found on google some SS men with this name, could someone help me to give some detailed information?

There's 36 Hoffmans in the 38 Dienstaltersliste which means a lot of work trying to eliminate who got rings in 38, and before 37 to get a short list of possibilities for 37.
So knock your self out old boy !!

Not to dissuade you, but considering it's such a common German name, probably the best you can hope for, is to narrow it down to a handful of possibilities.

Ross Kelbaugh told me that there are two Hoffmann who got the ring in 1937, he will try to check any clues in their files but he told me that is not easy to find the owner of the ring…

Are there other ways to find the man?
