It WAS a good really early one but not since it was buried for 70 years.

      skull

In a way, it's actually more interesting than a mint one, IMO. The skull has a lovely patina. PLEASE don't try to clean it. Just rub the surface lightly with a soft cotton cloth, and it will remove the grimy-feeling surface oxidation, and give a light lustre to the metal, but it won't harm the beautiful, aged patina.

That's a very desirable, early skull, by the way. Hang on to it. Best Regards

            Skull

Here's a great way to display such a fine item with no pins - Get a small picture frame. Then buy some artist's thick posterboard 1/8 or 3/16 thick. (It's made of fine stryofoam with a paper covering on both sides) Trace around the skull with a fine pen. Cut along the line, and pry away the top paper layer. Then, you can use the fine exacto knife to dig away at the styrofoam until the skull sinks down in, almost flush with the surface. The hole for the skull won't have to be deep, and should be just a tiny bit larger than the skull. Then cover the styrofoam with a piece of velvet, (Do NOT glue the front, just the BACK of the velvet to the posterboard. then, when you assemble the frame, the glass will hold the skull in place, and the skull will be somewhat recessed into the velvet.
NOTE: The posterboard will have to be cut small enough to compensate for the extra thichness from the velvet. good luck!
