Finnish Waffen SS patch question

Hello all! I am new here and I wanted to ask you a question. I have had in my collection for around 18 years a very strange patch. It is a Finnish SS sleeve patch. I only foud this out by going to a gun show ad happened to see one on the table of a dealer. The patch is made from some sort of heavy, stiff material. The patch itself is black and white and has the Finnish rampant lion on the front. Have any of you ever heard of this kind of patch before? Anny help would be greatly appreciated!!!

The BeVo shield shouldn't feel hard these are normally silky to the touch,allowing for age though I guess you never know.
