Cuffbands & insignia at the Airborne museum Arnhem

I was able to visit the Airborne museum at Oosterbeek recently which I would thoroughly recommend. These pictures were on another thread but seem to have been deleted so I thought it worth re-posting.

The Frundsberg is clearly a reproduction but the others are lovely examples.

Frundsburg is fake as are the metal cap skull, bevo eagle, and runic tab. The Arnheim cuff title is a fantasy, I believe.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

            You are correct!!!

I suppose tourists do not know or care so a museum can display what they refer to as "representative pieces".

I must admit the Hohenstaufen slipped by me as I was feasting my eyes on the Frw. Legion Neiderlande....

The museum is still worth a visit to anyone interested in Operation Market Garden

The arnheim cuff is ugly to... It's even on a piece of cloth.

A lot of museums have fillers.
It's very impressive for the sheep, not for the wolves.

Here in the area where I live are some official war museums with "original" fillers

I visited that museum about nine years ago - most of the SS wrappers and uniforms were reproduction, IMO, as well as some of the Heer items. Still well worth a visit.

The Arnhein CT might be from Reichsarbeitsdienst.
