        has good detail but looks too new for my tastes. The ones I have look ancient compared to this one.

          It is an original type 2 Julleuchter.
          As others pointed out the wax is 100% a recent addition.

          BTW: there are some pieces in mint conditions, and this is one of them.
          I have me too some near mint Julleuchters, but I have no problem with them.

                                Sorry for the delay, I was flying from New York to Hong Kong, so how funny, the Juellecther was BS after all, look that SS pressing on the bttm was as fresh as a daffodil, as as fresh as Doris Day in 1950, here's some pics of rough real SS runes vs this modern fresh as Doris remake
