    Early cap skull help

    Hi Fellows!

    I need some help please it's not my field.
    Has any difference between early SS cap skull and panzer collar tab skull?

    If you type Panzer skull and SS skull into Google and check the differences you will notice there is a big difference in size and design

                Skulls

                Panzer skulls are much smaller, but the design is similar. However, early skulls not only vary greatly, but the same skulls the SS wore, were worn by lots of different units, including early SA, some Army Regiments, Danzig Police, and even at least one Hitler Youth unit. Technically, you can argue that the only early skulls SPECIFICALLY for SS are those that are RZM-marked, as the Army didn't RZM-mark their items. However, only a few known companies RZM-marked early skulls. There's a great thread on these early skulls on this forum, but here's a few to look at. Almost ANY of these early skulls can be displayed as "SS", and there's an excellent chance it IS, but there's no guarantee that an SS man actually wore it. The first example is an RZM skull by St.&L. Hope that helps.
