It´s very often hard to judge shoulder straps, but these look fine to me.

Boards

All you can do is try to carefully lift up the Russia braid near the piping. The color of the piping should be darker under the braid. If you see that it is exactly the same shade as on the outside, the boards are probably fake.

That can also depend on the quality of the (rayon) piping. If the quality is high the piping will show no fading if it is low it will.

Thus, worn straps or boards with no fading to the piping can very well be original.

I was unaware there was a low and a high quality difference to the rayon piping. Not sure how that would affect fading and dirt.

To be clear, I am not saying they are fake. I am saying they may be based on checking the piping as I described.

Yes, there is. Dyes used by some makers were very strong, others were quite weak.

Now dirt is another thing and will usualy have an opposite effect: Ie the piping becomes darker in the exposed areas.
