    SS Totenkopf

Hi, can I have some opinions on this please, was an NZ vet bringback from the Trieste area, NZ soldiers were forbidden to collect souviners but this was snatched from a cap & the cap then discarded as it was too big to hide...

      Badge .....

Ah yes ..... this is an extremely rare item. During the latter days of the war the Third Reich developed a comoflauge that was invisable to the naked eye. I believe this could be one of the cap badges belonging to that particular division...... David

          Tony,
were you trying to upload more than one picture at once? sometime i also have problems with this, another point is there is a file size, if it was the first point try uploading them one at a time,
          cheers,
          gary

              Hi,

              Very nice TK!
However, it's just a standard TK. There was no special camouflage version.
              The silver has just worn.

              Best, Chris

                Thanks

Thanks Chris, good to get confirmation on this one. I think the earlier comment regarding the 'invisible' totenkopf was a joke as I was unable to get the pics to load at the time....

                Cheers.....Tony

                  Oh, my bad!

I thought David had lost his mind.
By the way Tony, will you be selling this skull?

                  Thanks! Chris

Sorry Chris, can't possibly sell this, very hard to replace here in NZ. I paid $150.00NZ for this (75.00 Euros), did I get value for money?

                    Thanks anyway....Tony

                      Value for money?????????????????

I would pay 500 NZ dollars for that skull.
Of course you got value for the money.
                      Congratulations!

                      Best, Chris

                        happy-happy-happy

Thanks for the input, I'm really glad that this is the genuine thing, I'm only new to this hobby although I bought my first item, a 1942 Luftwaffe belt, in 1981 (still have that belt). I've had to take some gambles in the last couple of years & it's satisfying to know i've got genuine items, that's the main thing to me.

                          Hello,

Glad to hear you kept your first item. I wish I had that 50 year faithful service cross that I bought with my pop way back when. Very nice skull by the way. Thanks for sharing.
