1938 nazi german totenkopf lab coats- ss?

Hello all. I am selling this photo on Ebay and I thought I'd give you the heads up if anyone is interested. If I've broke a rule on here please forgive me and remove this post. I have this photo up on the forum elsewhere under the name Yarmouth. I forgot I had an account here when I joined again with the name BlackWatch. Here is the link:

Woooo, the Chitown sewing machine will be buzzing away as we speak ... not an 'Achtung Minen' flag will be safe

wasn't it already posted here in the past ? I'm pretty sure it was.
                  Interesting but not SS related.

I have no idea if these men were SS. The patch is very similar to the SS sports patch. Real mystery. I only know that I purchased this with a group of other photo's that came from Germany and that it is dated 1938.

The discussion was only conjecture and nothing concrete. I had this on another forum and the conversation there hit a brick wall too. I am not saying this is SS but no one really knows what it is. Someone mentioned it was made identical to the SS sports badge. And I'm sure these men are not swimming underwater when the photo was taken so it's not a swimming badge lol...

This is the badge in question and the member that owns it said he was told it came with a pile of Dachau insignia:

Well it's not exactly hygiene. The surroundings look like a meth lab.
