    Early SS shoulder boards ?

    Hello everyone,

These were found inside the bestand of a SS veteran (house clearance).
    I honestly can´t comment them.

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Klaus

Hello Klaus, i was just browsing your site by now
About these, The material looks OK to me. But i have no idea which kind of service used such boards. But i like the material and the backing.

If am not mistaken, panzer troops had some boards like these - like the early wehrmacht boards. Could be some of those, who knows.

I would love to see what the others think about that.

      Cheers

A friend of mine looked at the pictures and said it could be volunteers SS from other countries.

          Just one other opinion

Nope! Disagree! Nothing to do with Freiwilligen. (Heer Osttruppen did use pointed boards...but that's an entirely different topic!)

These are early SS-VT boards...LAH had these with their LAH cypher embroidered on them...
            Here is another (NCO) set:

                Thanks everyone for your help!

The man who found them found photos in his house a few months earlier. Unfortunately he did not keep them otherwise we would have a very interesting grouping now!
