Hello guys,
here is my m43 tunic modified for post war wearing by the vet, who had survived the war, but like most of the people, had nothing after that so he had to arrange dress for himself as he can. Sad to see destroyed tunic, but still no moth damage.
The cap belonged to the same man at 100%.
I bought this while ago from a lokal dealer, who had the items directly from the vets family.
I thought i could restore it as m43 tunic, to hide this side pockets by making it shortent so the front two holes to remain hidden into the pocket.
But there is one problem - i cannot find m43 pockets with the same color and i dont want to destroy other tunic, even if WH one.
So im planing to move this lot.
The pants are not interested so not pictured - they werent part of the lot.
What do you think, does it worth a restoration?
I like it as it is, as there is still a lot of history in it. And the camo inside pocket matirial is original from the camo tunic of the guy.
Cheers
