Did I find a good eagle?

    Good day everyone.

I have the option to purchase this eagle but wanted to run it past all of you here first. Thanks for looking.

The back. I only have a scanner to work with. This sometimes makes things look brighter than they are.

Instead of running past it- RUN FROM IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

              HI Jason:

I think SS officer eagles are tough hence the few replies. Some say the swastika should fill up the whole circle, yet others say something about the height of the head compared to the feathers...I am of the opinion that the only way you can truly tell is to test the fabric...I have had some real ones from vets...not many but a few...and they are crude compared to what you think something so prestigious should look like. Then you have to ask yourself what if somebody gets wartime bullion, wartime wool, and wartime backing material and puts a piece together in a correct style...can you really tell then? ...maybe, but only with advanced scientific lab analysis.

Below is an eagle that was posted on the GD forum some time ago as original cannot remember who posted it now.

Some of these early eagles are not as refined as the wartime pattern eagle everyone knows, is that cloth instead of paper on the back?
                  cheers,
                  Gary
