Help with Totenkopf

Hello. I am considering purchasing this Totenkopf but would like 2nd & 3rd opinions before I fork out a substantial amount for it.

Is this Totenkopf original in your opinion? If not, what specific details are wrong?

The back of the piece looks promising , but the "brass like" subsurface jumps out at me. I also thought it had a bit of moustache.

A beautiful example. It is hard to find one like this one. Most are bare aluminum on the front and copper on the back.

I think that the flash makes it look more gold than it is. I would say there is more of a copper color with a worn silver wash over it.

Sometimes, as in this case, it is gold colored. This is due to the reaction between the aluminum and the copper, and possibly other factors as well. Sometimes this happens and sometimes it does not. It is however, very much legit and proper, even quite attractive, imo.
