Nick: I am the current owner the insignia it came with a decent lot I purchased yesterday. I got very similar feedback as yours from a well known collector of SS so I guess it's a hard call on these pieces.

Anyhow I think they will display pretty well with my SS dagger for the time being. :-)

Skull is a nice Original missing it's prongs.
Chevrons I like aswell as the shoulderboards and the bevo sleave eagle.

Don't like the tabs and the bouillion eagle. Nice craftmanship but don't even look like originals.
