First I want to say how much I enjoy the polite flow and give and take of information that appears on this site. I've learned quite a bit since finding out about the website. Thanks to all. I am finishing up work on an updated version of a book I wrote back in the 90's Panzerheld about Michael Wittmann. Hope to have it ready on the 70th Anniversary of his death in Combat August 8. I am still seeking primary source material about the Tiger Tank in service of SS Panzerkorps particularly during and after Kursk that might be found in such periodicals such as Das Schwarz Korps and the SS Leitheft. i will have some "SS-Leithefte workshop" in the next days for another subject, i will check that again but i don't remember to have seen anything on the death of M. Wittmann because the last issue was published at the end of the summer 1944 (Heft 11), and only the death of M. Witz was announced.
I will get back to you if i find something interesting in the 1943-1944 issues.

Yes - there is one article in about Wittmann´s ride into Villiers-Bocage and it is called "Ein kühner Tigersprung" - I finally got a copy of that.
The very last SS-Leithefte do bear some great articles anyway!!Comment
