strange pip

The pip is an odd "rounder" style pip..the more usual SS pips are more square with pointier corners..the pip pictured could be period perhaps from a foreign source but hard for me to tell..

Would be nice to find out a little bit more about the pip.
I agree that the pip looks a bit to much round instead of squared and without the typical pointed corners.
The center of the pip looks good regarding the halfball, but the knots on the two outer rings look al litte bit strange to me.
What are the experts thinking about this?

And what's about the endings of the prongs. They look to be cut straight instead of diagonal as seen normally?

Finally what about the cardboard and the shape, size and the way of construction the felt was crafted on the back?

Regarding that I'm not an expert in this field, I would like to hear some more comments to learn, please.
