what to do

Hello all,

So do I keep just the runic or send them both back? How much is the runic worth in your opinion. Please let me know either way. I will have to see about Bill Shea once owning these, not that I am doubting you, but I would like to find out where these came from as I maybe heard something different. Thank you.

When you first posted these tabs you said they had belonged to a RK winner and the tabs had come direct from the vets family via another collector, I remember when these tabs were first posted by this collector there was no mention then that they came from a RK winner also the collector was asking for opinions if they were real or not as ss cloth was not his field.

When these tabs were first posted here as "new", I recognised them I had seen them before and in my files I found the photos that had been sent to me over a year before they were posted here.

I have replied in a previous thread on these tabs that the rank tab was fake/put together (IMO) and you have asked me via PM and I have said the same thing, the members here have also commented, if you keep them or not only you can decide, so if you are looking for an original runic and can send the rank patch back then that is what i would do it is dependant on what you paid for them, the runic is original the rank tab is fake/put together,

. For collectors reference the above tab was bought in about '78/79 as a reproduction from Pat Tucknott,who traded mail-order in the UK.His catalogue (which I CANNOT find anywhere for the life of me) was,I believe,basically a Delta International listing.

Of note are the poorly moulded side-pronged pips and the glittery litzen with North-South texture.

Hello,

Thank you for the information. I bought both for $1,150.00 so if I kept the runic I would only get half of the above price back. Is this a fair price for an original runic or is it too steep? Please let me know either way as I decide what to do as far as keeping one or just getting rid of everything. Thank you.

Hello,

I was told by Mr. Shea that they came out of the David Cook Estate in Dallas,TX in 2002 after he had passed away. Just thought I would add this.

Bill,
Then the story has changed??? As they started of as being bought from a rk winner's family when you first posted them.

Regardless of who's collection they have come from this does not have any bearing on the originality or not of any item
