They look like purposely aged fakes to me ...

Wehrmacht panzer pioneer repros indeed...because black engineers piping would not show on black tabs on a black wrapper,
they went with this striped design piping used early in the war. I believe it's supposed to be black /white striped,
Here shown silver/black striped... Too bad they're not real. Would be a rare set!

I guess silver/black inter-twined colors is OK after all...(as opposed to white/black) but the tabs look really "woolly" to me...
If the price is right possibly still worth it just for the Pz skulls (worst case scenario)...

I am with Bob & others, nice earlier TKs. These are ( I believe) the handiwork of a certain ebay fraudster (germancollectables is his current seller ID) who has 5-6 ebay alias' selling garbage he claims are real. His aging process is quite good but most of what he sells is not even repro, but fantasy. Hes most famous for his "Elite panzer" tabs which are fake blank SS tabs with (or without) a bad Deschler casting with (or without) "stache". All kinds of field adaptions/upgrades were quite common,but Im highly doubtful these tabs fall into that category. Best, Rich
