Not a big fan of those markings Michael, RB # I don't like lining I've not encountered! and of course those press studs, repro I would say! construction mix between SS kielhosen and SS dot panzer! I would wave off on them. Camo cloth may be good but late 80s early 90s they made up a lot of repro pants jackets out of good material, I had a pair which I traded away.

I agree, material itself looks good but stamping & liner color are the flags

          Thank you Scott!!

My initial thoughts were correct, too good to be true.

This trousers was pictured in the same time by Tom Reeves for Andrew Steven just after the release of his book (Waffen SS uniforms in colours photographs A.Steven & P.Amodio / Windows and Green Ltd)

The book mentioned above is riddled with reproductions. It is however a good study source for both original and repro material.

Yes, we all know that, but it's IMO the only book where the SS dot jump trousers was shown (even if it's a reproduction ?)

(the article come from: MILITARY ILLUSTRATED Past & Present No.31 DECEMBER 1990 )

Does it have the paratrooper knife pocket and slit? Does not appear so...
Some elements are typical para jump trouser style, (fob pocket closure with snaps and pocket flap closures with snaps...)
but perhaps not the thighs? Plain?

Well, the pictures in the book of the SS jump trousers are indeed repro, beyond that, to my knowledge no such SS jump trousers were ever produced, unless someone has seen an authentic pair, so they are a repro of something that never existed---tropical jump boots, came out early 90s late 80s, side lace up canvas/leather seen several of those in person, fantasy. I know they made the dot jump smock, but no proof a matching set of dot jump pants ever were produced, just like the SS fallschirmjager cufftitle, fantasy.

                        Hi.

Parade Antiques in Plymouth has got one example, which he is selling as a reproduction. He is asking £600 for it. He hasn't posted it online, but allowed me to take some photos of the material. The construction looks period with rayon lining. It does have the pocket for the gravity knife and possibly flare cartridges. I have posted the photos in the SS section, as the HBT appears to have hair and vegetable fibres (straw?) In the weave, but am posting a couple here as well.
Any ideas if the material is original?

I see no possibility of the WSS developing a pair of jump pants in 1944 with both the way the war was going and the serious shortages of cloth materials. Just as fantastic as those panzerkeilpants that started this thread.

One of the (now) older German dealers found a stash of unfinished dot trousers in the 60's or 70's. Some were finished as regular trousers, while many leg panels became fantasy Panzerkombis, FJ smocks and probably FJ trousers. I have owned a few of the former two. Real fabric, but the linings and hardware were usually a bit "off". If you know your sewing, you can tell they are made from trouser legs too .
