Sports Insignia For Review

Hi Guys,
Looking to get opinions on this sports patch. Far different from the early chain stitched pieces and later RZM pieces. Came off of a sports shirt I purchased that had been discussed briefly here -

I removed the patch to get a better view of its construction after I received a few doubts about its authenticity. It looks good viewing it in hand and thread has passed the burn test. I don't have a black-light so have not checked that yet.

Any info or comments would be greatly appreciated!!!

Not the usual pattern for these and my inclination would be that its not pre 45 made, has anyone made a study of these? perhaps not a book but I could see a chapter done on them.
I will be interested to see some other opinions.

You removed the stitching? I thought this one was a legit variation.There are tons of these,even all different in the other thread you have with photos.I dont think there are many fake SS tank tops out there,and I like the way teh material looks on this too.

Sadly I did. I wanted to get a closer look at the construction. I agree, having it in hand, it looks legit. A good friend summed it up pretty well......could it be a period piece? Sure, but I'll never be able to prove it. I'm going to keep it for the collection but unfortunately it will garner doubts anytime I show it or try to sell it.
