scott has a good point on the makers stamp, I have never seen this & outside of the size numbers, rather superfluous for late war combat uniform. but imo still good!

I've seen this same marker stamp on a pant which was shown in the past here on the Forum from member Fred i think (the member with the most realistic Silicon Display dummy).
Maybe he can help us and Show some Details of his pant?

Just so there's no misunderstanding, I am not saying the pants are not original. I just don't know. Some items for me to pop out immediately as original from just the pictures presented. Others, I have to hold in hand. This is just being overly cautious, giving the price of such items and how well they are reproduced. One has to remember that in the 80s and 90s they were producing these pants out of original multi run HBT dot material, I owned one and one was just posted for inspection. The only shortcommings were the stampings some of the sewing construction and the lining material used, they fooled A LOT of people. I purchased mine as repros from someone who had been fooled by a Chicago dealer.
The stampings concern me, however I myself have a pair of unissued.panzer camo trousers which have a maker stamp. I could post my pants for comparison, they are SS.and Panzer and unissued. They are identical to another pair I own and another pair which I know of. My belief is on the trousers I have, the stamping was placed on the material for another issue purposed item, it was left over scrap, and simply used on these pants. In this case, the stamping appears to be directly related to the pants manufacturer, one can see the stamping was a fixed prior to the final sewing of the inside lining to the HBT cotton.

Besides -or despite- the markings (which is a solid point made by mr Hess); but honestly I am not the biggest fan of these trousers.
I am not sure and therefore I am reluctant to post but since it has received all
's so far I decided to weigh in, especially because of the money involved. I personally would pass on these trousers due to the rather thick HBT fabric (as it appears from the photos); the tie tapes at the bottom, the liner,...it all just does not do it for me. But bear in mind, only my personal feeling, certainly not 100% sure!
Gran Sasso, perhaps you would care to answer; the buttons are pretty rusted; obviously from storage, any stains on the trousers or thread as well?Comment

Zauberflotte, I also have concerns with the cloth itself. The quality of the cloth seems a bit too good. Normally I would like to see a greater range of cloth defects, in which one sees thinner and thicker areas of the yarn that was used to produce the cloth itself. I just don't see this in the photos, potentially it may be something that I would be comfortable with holding it in hand. To my mind, only the earlier polished or smooth cotton exhibits a high quality in the cloth itself.Comment

Had this one in hands a few weeks ago, original one in very good condition, colors are not really bright but this is because of the type of cloth used by this maker.Comment
