    Another Sleeve Eagle Fake?

No great story; got this is a group deal from a German who claimed it was real. Strange bird if it is - like my boss, it's very tightly woven! Can someone tell me if this is another breed of fake?

Thank you both for the comments - I just had no idea on this one! Is this a known pattern? I've not seen it in my reference books.

              Hi

              Excuse my bad English

                Francesco,
Thank you very much for the responses! I didn't think it looked much like the examples in either of those two references, which is why a second opinion is so nice. Your English is much better than my Italian!

                  Robert,

have you "SOLDAT-equipping the Waffen SS panzer division" by Richard W.Mundt's Book ? At page 118 you ca see another Eagle as yours.

I think your eagle is the same of this three books ( is almost impossible is exactly the same eagle......frequently there are small differences...........but this is only my opinion.

                  With all the best
                  Francesco

                    Robert,

I do not have a problem with the eagle you posted, I think also in recent times this same style of eagle has been discussed although the discussion was about the fact that this style of eagle had feet where as the majority of machine embroidered eagles do not have formed feet.
                    cheers,
                    Gary
