Another ss cap for review

check it really carefully. it seems good but there are some features like dirty in the lining that worry me a bit. There is the bias reinforcemente under flaps?

if you lift up the flaps, where they are folded under and sewn, there should be a bias or reinforcing material visible in the foldovers where it is stitched, this is seldom done post war on reproductions, it is a sign most like to see on M-43s

Thanks I will contact the seller for pictures of the bias. Is there any more opinions on this one.

Put this cap up on the "Cloth Headgear Section" and see what they say about it ???

It will certainly give you some idea of how easy the cap will be to resell further down the track.

Very hard to make any objective statement about this cap except to say in a subjective way that it looks like it might be ok based on small images.

A hands on inspection might be a different story but at least the SS insignia is accepted as original.

The thing to remember, there are some fakes out there with "bias" material just the same as there some original caps with dirty/ grubby linings.

Better images, hands on inspection and comparison with known originals are the keys when it comes to these M43 caps,
