    6 dot Julleuchter, darker clay

    Hi,

what do you think about this example, looks good to me. It shows the typical marks / flaws from the mold...

I´m always afraid to catch a HIAG one, I have one of these in my database with also 6 dots... I guess they were molded from an original 6 dot`er.

The Allach mark looks scratched instead of stamped and is too large/long.

werent the runes stamped from the 3rd modell on? And scratched on the first, earlier types?

              Hi Udo -

I don't like this one. Sorry my friend. It might be the photos but some of the proportions look off to me.

Feel free to PM and send me photos (larger) via email.

Edit: The sides look too smooth for me too and the inside shot looks very crude regarding its construction.

it is not mine, I got offered it...

Bad pictures are often a bad sign!

Back to the runes. I know them as stamped on the 3rd pattern, how are the done on the 6 dotters? Scratched or stamped?

The SS mark looks no good.

Reproduction I would say, as stated earlier, proportions are wrong, just compared to mine

is this a 6 dot example, Corey? So I could update my database.

It should be molded from an original, all dots on the side with the "6 dot marks" are matching the original Leuchter IMO

I can only agree with the guys, I would pass me too on this Julleuchter.
IMO this was made using an original 6 dots, but I'm quite sure the base material is not clay and it was coated with some sort of varnish/paint; furthermore the Allach mark is completely wrong, wrong are also some details on the 4 support bases and some signs on the upper part of the Julleuchter are IMO unequivocal evidences of a reproduction.
